ALLAHUMMA SALLI ALA MUHAMMAD WA ALI MUHAMMAD.
Salaamualaikum brother, where abouts r u now?? And how is your situation?
ORIGIN OF THE DU'A Kumayl Ibn Ziyad Nakha'i was a confidant amongst the companions of Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (as.) and this sublime Du'a was first heard from the beautiful, though anguished, voice of Imam Ali.
It is recommend to recite it yourself but if you are unable to then listen to it yes. Also you should with time try to learn to read it Inshallah.
ok, but is it every thursday? can u tell me why, and what time can i listen to it, in the morning or evening and how many times?
i have prayed for you !
You can recite this dua anytime. In fact, it's best to recite it at least once a day.
Thursday night is a very special time for duas which is why this dua is recited along with other aamaal. The Muslim calendar is lunar. Thus, the 'day' actually starts at night. Thus, Thursday night marks the beginning of Friday morning islamically which is obviously our holiest day of the week.
