No, hes not saying that Elvis himself is racist. Hes saying that American society in the 1950s was. They claimed to dislike all music that black artists wrote but only found Elvis acceptable as he was white. Essentially his musical roots come from black music. Indeed, he had to be confirmed as a white artist after being heard on the radio 'cause listeners thought he was black.
The spanish chap is saying that white listeners wouldnt have found this music acceptable had a black musican sung it.

@KevinR38 the version playing is take 8 the original single version was take 9 check out the albums "40 greatest" "The alltime greatest hits""Love Elvis""The complete 50s masters " these feature the original.The takes are similar but Elvis' phrasing is different in places and the guitar solo varies quite a bit.

@MJL3764 I have the original 45 (was my fathers), it's been years since I've listened to it. I'll have to dig it out and see if my turntable still works.
The differences must be subtle... though as it's playing right now the ending does seem different from what my memory brings back.
