I hate how the high hat sounds like MIDI or something.
And I hate his "I try too hard to be hardcore while I play Contemporary Christian" solos.
I, however, in no way hate Lincoln Brewster.
Just don't get me wrong, the song still speaks to me and serves its purpose. He just needs to make the music he feels called to and not be pressured by any label to hold back on the intensity of his songs : /
i agree. He also has to compete with what kids hear on the radio. This more up beat music with more of a Rock feel might catch someone's ear and hook them into the song easier than a slower beat. Then once someone is interested they could find a version of this song like Chris Tomlin's.
1. The heavens tell of the glory of God. The skies display his marvelous craftsmanship.
2. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known.
3. They speak without a sound or a word; their voice is silent in the skies;
4. Yet their message has gone out to all the earth, and their words to all the world. The sun lives in the heavens where God placed it. It bursts forth like a radiant bridegroom after his wedding. It rejoices like a great athlete..
